The latest and probably the last version of windows is finally out. This upgrade is making so much news online because it is free. Devices running on genuine Windows 7 or windows 8.1 can upgrade to Windows 10 for free. Yes, it is absolutely free. Microsoft has to give it for free to be in race with the other technos out their leading the mobile world. Eg. Android. What so ever might be but coming to PC’s Microsoft is the only solution forever and ever. Microsoft recently claimed that the latest version ‘Windows 10’ is running on about 10 million computers and counting. Upgrading to Windows 10 is a cake walk. Really, it hardly took about one hour for me to upgrade to the latest version and that to without waiting for official notification, which you should receive through windows 10 app.
After reserving your copy of windows 10, the app says the upgrade process is in waves and may take days or weeks, “Notify me when I am ready“. Cool, but it’s not a way for guys like me who are eager to see that START button back again. But how? Right after jump you see the How to Guide on “How to upgrade to windows 10 right away without waiting…”
How to upgrade to Windows 10 without waiting…
Probably by now you should see the Windows 10 button on the right side of taskbar. If you don’t see the button then you should goto Control Panel > Windows Updates > Check for Updates and install all available listed windows updates. esp. KB3035583, this one. Then when you see the Windows 10 app button in the tasker bar, reserve your copy.
Now you have reserved your free copy which means you are all set to upgrade to latest iteration through whatever process. One of the alternative method is down below go through each and every step…
Step 1: Download the Windows 10 ISO: Download your operating system bit (32bit or 64bit) media creation tool from here. Run the downloaded MediaCreationTool.exe and go through the screens below to download your Windows 10 ISO file.
Step 2: After successful download you can open the iso file by double clicking if you are on Windows 8.1 or elase use Power ISO Deamon Tools if you are on Windows 7.
Step 3: Plug in a blank USB drive of minimum 4gb. Format it and copy the content in the iso file to the flash drive.
Step 4: After copying, remove and re-plugin the flash drive > go through it and double click the windows 10 “Setup.exe”
From here its a cake walk even a 5 year kid can install windows without looking back. What you suppose to do at this stage is “Sit back and relax.”
